What is the Club about?
focusowners.com was formed in 2002 and set-up as a free resource for all Ford Focus owners. To this day, we continue the same free for all philosophy. The aims of the Club are simply: To promote and foster interest in the Ford Focus in all its various forms To promote the exchange of Focus-related information to others, especially new and younger members and the general public at meetings, shows & events, social gatherings etcTo promote and engender friendship between Focus owners throughout the UK (both locally and nationally) and further throughout Europe and anywhere in the World that a Focus owner can be found To promote and encourage responsible and safe road behaviour
Why am I being asked to pay to join Foc100?
Foc100 is an additional Group to encourage site donations which would go toward Club banners, flags, merchandising etc and the upkeep of the site. Please see the Foc100 FAQ for more information, but this not compulsory to be a Club Member.
How can I delete my account?
If you no longer wish to be a part of focusowners.com - then simply do not visit the web site. Due to the nature of the site, user accounts will not be deleted. On request, the Club's administration team will disable your email account so you no longer receive notifications of PMs or posts.Contact jc@foto-albums.co.uk to do this.
What is Foc100?
Foc100 is a new level of membership. For a one-off lifetime fee of £10, members receive enhanced site features - including the ability to create Blogs and Classified ads - as well as the chance to win £200, £100 or £50.
How do I join?
Visit the
Foc100 information page and click on the Paypal Donate button.
On receipt of your payment Joescamera will change your standard account to Foc100 membership and invite you to join the Foc100 Group. Please join this Group as it shows at a glance all eligible members for the prize fund draw.
This is not an automated process but will be done as soon as practical, typically within a few hours of notification.
When is the draw made to win the money?
Foc100 is so called as it requires 100 members. Once we reach this level, membership is temporarily suspended until the draw can take place. This will happen as soon as practical and should be tied in to a Regional Meet or National Show.
Can I join more than once?
You are more than welcome to increase your chances in winning the 1st, 2nd or 3rd draw by joining multiple times. It will cost £10 each time and an additional ticket with your details will be added to the draw. However, no extra site enhancements will be offered over those for single applications.
You cannot win more than one amount in the draw. If you registered twice, for example, and your name is pulled first and third, you will ONLY receive the first draw prize. The second occasion will not count and an additional name will be chosen.
What happens to the remaining money?
This social networking site and associated hosting has cost quite a lot to set-up. The prize fund of £350 is set aside, with the remaining to re-imburse Joescamera. There will be a small balance which will be used to invest in Club merchandising (possibly new sail flag banners).
What happens after the draw is made?
After the draw is made and the prize fund allocated to the 3 winning members, Foc100 will re-open for new memberships to join - with a new prize fund pot available of £200, £100 and £50.
Members from the first draw will NOT be entered again, unless they re-join (paying the £10 joining fee).
What if I decide to leave the Club?
All Club Members have the ability to delete their account (leave the Club). If you do this after joining Foc100, you will not be able to ask for your joining fee back, nor will you be entered into the prize draw.
The 100 members necessary before the draw is made will not decrease if a member leaves - but the chances of winning improves!
On the discretion of Joescamera, users who left and wish to rejoin may be granted immediate access back to the Group, and eligible for the prize draw, without having to repay their fee.
Can I get a refund?
The Foc100 is non-refundable. Do not join if you want to ask for the joining fee back. In addition to having the 1 in 100 chance of winning £200, £100 or £50, membership grants additional site benefits.
